Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Padelite (“we”, “us”, “the app”) collects when you use the mobile application and any connected services, why we collect it, how we store and protect it, and the choices you have over your own data.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
When you create an account we collect:
- Email address (used as your login).
- A password you choose (stored securely as a one-way hash).
- Your full name, chosen username, phone number, and gender.
- Your self-declared padel level.
1.2 Tournament participation
When you register for or run a tournament we record:
- The tournaments you applied to, your partner (or solo status), and your application notes.
- Your match results, group standings, and knockout outcomes.
- Trophies and placements that contribute to your Hall of Fame and public profile.
- Level changes triggered by tournament results.
1.3 Payment receipt screenshots
If a tournament requires a payment receipt, we store the screenshot you upload so the organiser can verify it. Receipts are kept in a private storage bucket and are only accessible to you, the tournament organiser, and authorised staff. We never store card numbers, bank account numbers, or login credentials for any third-party payment service.
1.4 Technical information
For diagnostics and security we keep basic technical signals such as the date and time of your activity in the app, the version of the app you used, and anonymised device information. We do not operate tracking pixels or third-party advertising SDKs.
2. How we use your information
- To run tournaments, including draws, schedules, standings, and champion records.
- To compute your padel level objectively after each tournament.
- To show your public profile (under the privacy controls you choose) to other players inside the app.
- To allow organisers to verify payments tied to a registration.
- To send you notifications about tournaments you applied to, matches you're playing, schedule changes, and the outcome of your applications.
- To support and troubleshoot the app — for example, looking at why a feature isn't working for a specific account.
3. Sharing
We share data only with the parties needed to operate the service:
- Tournament organisers can see the registrations for their own tournaments, the payment receipts attached to those registrations, and the level / match history relevant to their event.
- Other players can see your public profile (name, level, badges, public match history) subject to the privacy settings you've configured on your profile.
- Service providers (such as our hosting and database providers) process data on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations. They cannot use your data for their own purposes.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't disclose it to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data retention
- Your account information is kept while your account is active.
- Tournament results, levels, and Hall of Fame entries are kept to preserve the integrity of historical records. You can request that your personal name be replaced with an anonymised label in those records at any time.
- Payment receipts are kept for the duration of the tournament and a reasonable period afterwards (typically 12 months) for accounting and dispute reasons.
5. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS). Passwords are stored as one-way bcrypt hashes, never in clear text. Access to player data is restricted at the database level using row-level security so a user can only read the data they are explicitly authorised to see. We review this perimeter regularly.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and the personal data attached to it.
- Restrict or object to certain types of processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
You can exercise any of these rights by contacting us at the address in Section 9. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will also be surfaced inside the app the next time you open it.
